Worklists
What needs doing across the practice — recalls due, treatment accepted but not booked, notes not yet signed, balances unpaid, lab work back and referrals awaiting an outcome — as lists derived live from the record.
Open To do in the clinical workspace. Each worklist is worked out from the record the moment you open it; nothing is stored, so a list is never stale and never needs clearing. My tasks sits beside them: the tasks assigned to you, which someone wrote down on purpose.
| Worklist | Who sees it | What is on it |
|---|---|---|
| Recalls due | anyone who reads recalls | Active recalls due today or earlier that have no appointment booked |
| Unbooked treatment | anyone who reads treatment plans | Visits of accepted or in-progress plans that have no appointment yet |
| Unsigned notes | anyone who reads notes | Draft notes and completed notes that have not been signed |
| Unpaid balances | anyone who reads the ledger | Accounts with charges still outstanding, largest first, with the oldest charge's date |
| Lab returns | anyone who reads lab cases | Lab work received and not yet fitted, oldest first |
| Referral outcomes | anyone who reads referrals | Outbound referrals submitted, accepted or booked and still waiting for their outcome |
| Unacknowledged claims (US practices) | anyone who reads insurance | Insurance claims sent to the clearinghouse more than three days ago with neither a 999 nor a 277CA answer yet — chase them before the payer's filing deadline |
A list shows a page at a time; Load more continues until it is exhausted. Click a row to open the patient's clinical record. Make a task puts the row on the team's task list for someone to pick up — the same tasks you use everywhere else, so assignment and completion work as they always have.
My tasks
My tasks lists the open tasks assigned to you, soonest due first, with Load more until the list is done. Add task takes a title, an optional due date and who it is for (you, unless you pick a colleague); Mark done completes a task and drops it from the list. A task made from a worklist row keeps the patient, so Open patient jumps to the record. Tasks are the same everywhere in Smileline: one made here shows on the CRM's Today page for its assignee, and one made there shows here.
